The next subscription box that I received was Bomibox. And let me just tell you, their box is so cute and it came in one piece. No dent whatsoever and their box design is adorable. So major kudos to them. First impression wise, I’m already liking Bomibox a lot.
Sooo my first subscription box came! It took me 8 years to finally subscribe to a subscription box HAHAHA. I remember when subscription boxes became popular 7 years back and all these various subscription boxes started popping left and right. Birchbox was the OG in the subscription box world, launching their first box back in 2010. I always wanted to try a subscription box myself but never got a chance to because I was low-key worried that I might not like the products that are sent to me. But I think that’s the fun part. You don’t know what you’re going to get so it’s definitely going to be a surprise. I mean I kinda like surprise… a tiny bit LOL.
Hey guys! So this post is going to be way different compared to the other posts because I’m going to start documenting my travel and adventures. Thought this would bring a fresh breath of air into my blog and also gives you a glimpse of the LA art scene. If you don’t live in LA… man, I wish you could come and experience the LA life. Yes, traffic is horrible but honestly, bad traffic is everywhere and you can’t avoid it. But let’s not focus on that LOL. One of the most awesome things about LA is their art scene. There are a lot of great art museums here such as The Broad, LACMA, MOCA, etc. Since LA is a melting pot of culture, there are so many art and design that spans through different culture.
Matcha… What could I say about matcha… It’s the love of my life. I FRIGGIN love matcha. I always order matcha boba and anything that says matcha catches my attention immediately. It’s to the point where my friend says I should just snort matcha and get high off of it LOL. But honestly, what’s not to love about matcha? It’s high in antioxidants, helps detoxify the body, and it tastes WAY better than coffee which in my opinion tastes like dirt. Ew. Anyways, anything matcha related I would try to get my hands on. So when I saw Leegeehaam Grow Matcha Clay Pack Mask on Glow Recipe, I knew I had to buy it. Also it’s a brand that I never heard of and I always like to explore new brands so I thought it would be perfect to purchase this mask.
When I was in Riley Rose, I was at the Dear, Klairs section. To be honest, I wasn’t planning to buy Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask. I was only at that section to buy their Vitamin C serum but I remember watching a Soko Glam video on how Vitamin E and Vitamin C are a perfect pair. Remembering all that, I was like eh, why not so I grabbed the mask and tossed it in my shopping basket. But I think I made a great choice on buying this mask cuz boiiii, it does work well with Vitamin C.
Sigh… All these beauty products are piling up in my room and I’m low-key getting scared and overwhelmed LOL. My mom saw my beauty stash and she asked me if I was going to open my own beauty shop HAHAHA. I don’t know how beauty gurus do it. They must have a separate room to store all their beauty products because I’m pretty sure they have a lot. Like A LOOOT. I’ve been wanting to post up my reviews on each individual beauty product but my lazy ass wouldn’t budge. But I’m back! I know I said I was going to review the products I got from my previous hauls… but I have more hauls so I’m just going to wait for my last 2 beauty boxes to come and then I’ll start cranking out reviews. But today, I wanted to share my Glow Recipe mini haul!
So recently, I bought one of the most popular Klairs product, the Freshly Juiced Vitamin C Serum. This product got a lot of recognition from Soko Glam, Buzzfeed, Refinery 29, Vogue, etc. It also won awards such as Soko Glam Best of Beauty Award for 2015 and 2017 so I wanted to see what the hype was all about. But I also just wanted to try a Vitamin C serum in general since I heard a lot of great benefits from using Vitamin C such as fading brown spots. I have a lot of brown spots around my chin and cheek area from hormonal acne. At least, I think it’s hormonal acne because that’s where most of them pop up, around the chin and cheek. So I wanted to fade my brown spots since some of mine are permanent. I mean I did buy a Vitamin C few years back because I wanted to pair it with my dermarolller. But sadly, both that Vitamin C and dermaroller are gathering dust in my closet LOL. However, I am planning to micro needle soon that’s why I bought a new Vitamin C. I bought COSRX Triple Lightning Liquid which contains a whopping 20.5% of Vitamin C but it was coming through mail and I couldn’t wait so I bought the Klairs one also.
