[Review] Whamisa by Glow Recipe Green Tea Moisturizer

It’s another green tea/matcha product review~ I told you guys that I can’t get enough of green tea/matcha. They’re just so perfect. This time it’s a review on Whamisa by Glow Recipe Green Tea Moisturizer. I bought this when I also bought LGH Grow Matcha Clay Pack Mask since I was looking for any product that was green tea/matcha based. I was also in search for a daytime moisturizer so this was a perfect purchase.

A lightweight, oil-free, fast absorbing moisturizer that leaves skin hydrated without heaviness. Green tea helps to brighten and balance the skin.

CosDNA ingredient analysis here.

Main Ingredients Analysis:

  • Green tea water/extract

Price: It costs $25 for 1.69 fl oz of product which isn’t bad but the moisturizer is tiny. I wish it was a little bigger and had more product then the price would be just right.

How to Use: Use after cleansing and toning. Spread a pea size amount onto skin in an outwards motion.

Perfomance: This is a perfect daytime moisturizer since I rarely put on makeup I love using this moisturizer in my morning routine. It’s really light and it absorbs quite well into my skin. It doesn’t leave my face sticky or greasy even though it is hydrating. But strangely, whenever I put this moisturizer on, I get a minty and cooling sensation on my skin. It isn’t a bad feeling but just a little odd since I don’t know what ingredient is causing this cooling effect. Anyways, this moisturizer is perfect for my combo/oily skin as it turns silky smooth and becomes a satin finish on my face.

Conclusion: I honestly think I made a great purchase with this moisturizer. It’s light, absorbs fast, and has a satin finish. It’s perfect to use for daytime since I don’t like to wear any heavy makeup or beauty products on my face. Like it says Glow Recipe site, it’s perfect for oily/combination skin. I also think it could be used for sensitive skin but for those who have drier skin, it may not be as hydrating or moisturizing. I use this every morning so it’s a staple in my morning skincare routine. Would I repurchase? Definitely.
