AdJam: Sounds of Summer

AdJam: Sounds of Summer

When I’m not eating as a side job (I wish it was a real job though lol), I work as a junior art director/designer for an ad agency in Los Angeles. I’ve been working at my present company for more than two years now and I remember going to my very first ad event called AdJam. AdJam is an annual event where advertising agencies come together to compete and win the title of the best band. Each year they have a theme and last year’s was Adchella which was a play on Coachella. I didn’t go to last year’s but when I went to my first AdJam, I won a GoPro Hero 4 which is now on loan to my ex-director who is traveling Southeast Asia right now LOL. But anyways, this year’s theme was Sounds of Summer.

The Future of Wanderful Beautie

The Future of Wanderful Beautie

Hey guys, I recently made a comeback and I know it’s been a while since I last posted anything in my blog. Life has been busy and truth be told, I’m going through some rough patches in my life right now. Lately, I’ve been feeling lost and confused on where my life is heading. I guess I’ve entered my quarter life crisis LOL. I’m at that stage of figuring out what my passion and interests are. And one of the my interests is this blog.

I’ve been wanting to start a blog for few years now but I always pushed off the idea because I would say to myself that I suck at writing. But this past June, I decided to give it a try. What I didn’t realize was that I would enjoy writing which was a big surprise for me. I was always the student who would always get a C+ on essays so I tried to avoid writing as much as possible. However, as I started this blog I started to have fun writing reviews on Korean beauty products and it actually motivated me to write better. Even though I still make a lot of grammar mistakes, I found myself pushing to write and tell stories better. So I’m super glad that I created this blog. However, few blog posts ago, I said I was going to give you an explanation of where I’m planning to take the blog so as promised, here it is.

Foodie Adventures #1: Wildcraft, Open Sesame, and More

Foodie Adventures #1: Wildcraft, Open Sesame, and More

As you can tell from the title, this will be different from my other posts. “GASP but Michelle I thought this was a beauty blog.” Yes and no. I will still post up beauty product reviews and hauls but not as often as before cuz your gal is broke lol. Also the beauty products are currently piling up and it’s like Mt. Everest in my closet. It’ll take me at least a year to review everything so look forward to that. But anyways, I always wanted to start a blog about my food adventures because I’m a foodie at heart. I love exploring new places and trying out new food. Originally, I was going to make a separate food blog called Hangry Cat but unfortunately, my IG account of the same name is locked. I forgot my password and the email that I registered with doesn’t exist anymore LOL whoops. So I decided to start a new series where I record my foodie adventures biweekly. I’m actually super excited to start this series because I friggin love food. Like no joke, I always think about what I’m going to eat next even though I’m eating. So I hope you guys will give some love to this series! Thank you!

Parkway Drive Concert + One Day Trip to San Diego

Parkway Drive Concert + One Day Trip to San Diego

So a little known fact about me is that I listen to metal music. I know… What a shocker that a Korean girl listens to metal music LOL. There’s not a lot of Asians especially girls who listen to metalcore. It’s really rare to see an Asian at a metal concert since it’s mostly dominated by Caucasians and Latinos. So it gets a little uncomfortable when you’re waiting for the band to start and you see people staring at you. I could just imagine and hear what they’re thinking “Why is there an Asian chick here?” LOL. Funny thing is I wasn’t a metal fan at the beginning though. In fact, I hated metal music to the core. I remember riding in the passenger seat of my friend’s car and he started blasting metal music. The car was vibrating from the bass and I thought I was going to die from embarrassment. I literally tried to slouch down to the floor so I wouldn’t be seen riding in his car. Fast forward to a year later and on August 2017, I became a metal believer.

Vitality and Verve III: Transforming the Urban Landscape

Hey guys, sorry for not posting for such a long time. Life has been a little rough for me right now but I’m back! I’ll try to post more often and I will soon be uploading a post of where this blog will go. But anyways, today’s focus is about Vitality and Verve III: Transforming the Urban Landscape.
