Hype or Nope #1: Rose City Pizza

Hype or Nope #1: Rose City Pizza

Hey guys! Welcome to my new series called “Hype or Nope” where I travel in my poor abused but trusty Civic and try foods from restaurants that the internet goes crazy for and see if they really are worth the hype or not. For my first hype or nope, I went to Rose City Pizza which is known for their weird but innovative pizza. I first came across Rose City Pizza on Facebook and as soon as I saw the juicy al pastor, I was hooked. I mean look at that al pastor, doesn’t it make your mouth water? If it doesn’t then you need to get yourself checked LOL. Not only do they have al pastor pizza, they also have elote pizza LIKE WHAAAT. My good friend, Her Memoirs, tried the elote pizza and she said that I’ll love it. And I trust her recommendations about 80% of the time (don’t kill me if you’re reading this LOL) so when an opportunity arose for me to go to Rose City Pizza, I immediately took it.

Cafe Craze #1: Roots Cafe, Viiva, and More

Cafe Craze #1: Roots Cafe, Viiva, and More

I’m not really a coffee person. Coffee leaves a nasty aftertaste in my mouth and honestly, they taste like dirt… Really bitter dirt. So I’m not a coffee snob whatsoever. However, coffee cafes are the best place to work on my blog and portfolio. So this past week, I spent most of time in various cafes throughout OC and LA. I’ll be listing the cafes in order from best to worst.

Bougie Uncrustables: PBJ.LA

Bougie Uncrustables: PBJ.LA

If you ever went to school in the US, you know that the school lunches were the worst. When kids in Korea ate rice with donkatsu, everyone else in the US had to eat dog food. We ate pizzas that tasted like marinated cardboard and chicken gravy with mashed potatoes that looked like someone threw up from eating too much oatmeal and milk. So of course, I decided to save my lunch money and starved at lunch rather than eating foods from the nightmare realm. You would think that I’m joking but trust me, school lunches in America was and still is BAD. But there were rare instances on Fridays, we had Smucker’s Uncrustables. Everywhere I went, everyone was eating the Uncrustables with so much happiness and joy. Everyone loved it. They worshipped it. For some people, Uncrustables was the epitome of childhood memories. But as for me, it was nothing more than a perfect round object that could be used to slap someone annoying in the face LOL.

The Future of Wanderful Beautie

The Future of Wanderful Beautie

Hey guys, I recently made a comeback and I know it’s been a while since I last posted anything in my blog. Life has been busy and truth be told, I’m going through some rough patches in my life right now. Lately, I’ve been feeling lost and confused on where my life is heading. I guess I’ve entered my quarter life crisis LOL. I’m at that stage of figuring out what my passion and interests are. And one of the my interests is this blog.

I’ve been wanting to start a blog for few years now but I always pushed off the idea because I would say to myself that I suck at writing. But this past June, I decided to give it a try. What I didn’t realize was that I would enjoy writing which was a big surprise for me. I was always the student who would always get a C+ on essays so I tried to avoid writing as much as possible. However, as I started this blog I started to have fun writing reviews on Korean beauty products and it actually motivated me to write better. Even though I still make a lot of grammar mistakes, I found myself pushing to write and tell stories better. So I’m super glad that I created this blog. However, few blog posts ago, I said I was going to give you an explanation of where I’m planning to take the blog so as promised, here it is.

Foodie Adventures #1: Wildcraft, Open Sesame, and More

Foodie Adventures #1: Wildcraft, Open Sesame, and More

As you can tell from the title, this will be different from my other posts. “GASP but Michelle I thought this was a beauty blog.” Yes and no. I will still post up beauty product reviews and hauls but not as often as before cuz your gal is broke lol. Also the beauty products are currently piling up and it’s like Mt. Everest in my closet. It’ll take me at least a year to review everything so look forward to that. But anyways, I always wanted to start a blog about my food adventures because I’m a foodie at heart. I love exploring new places and trying out new food. Originally, I was going to make a separate food blog called Hangry Cat but unfortunately, my IG account of the same name is locked. I forgot my password and the email that I registered with doesn’t exist anymore LOL whoops. So I decided to start a new series where I record my foodie adventures biweekly. I’m actually super excited to start this series because I friggin love food. Like no joke, I always think about what I’m going to eat next even though I’m eating. So I hope you guys will give some love to this series! Thank you!
